Around two months of age babies start the teething stage. Why Your Toddler Bites

Just about every child has bit but whether or not they should be classified as a biter is another thing. In daycares studies have proven that around half of the children have been bitten about three times a year. So biters are common.

Biting happens in many stages. The first stage is when the teeth are erupting from the gums. Your child will want to bite to sooth the discomfort of the swollen gums. This kind of biting will be soothed from biting a rattle or a teething ring. If while breastfeeding your baby tries to bite, remove your baby and set them down in a safe spot. At this time when your baby gets a negative response they will stop biting soon.

Around the time that your toddler celebrates their first birthday is when they may experiment with biting again. They may bite to show their excitement. At this time when your toddler tries to bit you should respond firmly every time and it should stop almost immediately.

Again your toddler may start to bite around the age of two. This is a time that your toddler wants to be independent and this is why they have started to bite again. If your toddler bits at this stage be certain that you give your child a time out and make sure that you explain that being bitten hurts. It is time to teach your child the commutation skills that they are probley lacking. When your toddler has the skills that are needed the biting should stop.

Be sure to watch your toddler closely if they are going through a biting phase. It is best to acknowledge good behaviour. It wouldn’t hurt to offer your toddler something to chew on at this stage either. If you have caught your toddler biting the respond with a firm voice and place your toddler on a time out.

The teething stage will start when your baby reaches two months of age. They start to drool and when you notice that they are drooling you should put a bib on them to stop any irritation that would be due to the wetness.

When your baby is holding a rattle they would also be old enough to grip a teething ring. It would be a great idea to have a couple in the fridge for hen you baby needs them. It is not a very great idea to freeze the teething ring because it could cause the babies gums to be frost bit.

The first teeth will appear around the age of six to nine months. But if you or any of the siblings of your baby has had teeth come out at an earlier age your baby may also. No matter what, when that tooth come out it will need to be cleaned. You can clean your baby’s teeth using a washcloth or a soft toothbrush.

It is time to start flossing your baby’s teeth when they have many teeth that have erupted out of the gum. When your child tries to floss it will teach them some fine motor skills. Studies done by the American Dental Association have proved that; tooth brushing alone only removes about forty percent of food that will stick to them. Without this flossing daily cavities and nasty breath is sure to come quicker.

Children should see their dentist two times in a year. Your child should see their dentist when they are able to sit for as long as ten minutes. But this should be done by the time that they turn three.

Believe it or not there is. Parents can always use some helpful hints and some ideas at this time their child’s life; I know that I could have.

The most important thing to do when you potty train your toddler is to encourage, encourage, and encourage. Remain focused and stay positive never react too much on the negative. You need to first get your toddler ready by getting your toddler used to the bathroom. When your toddler has come close encourage them by being positive some parents find it easier by having a sticker chart. Remember that there will be some accidents, but do not over react to this. If you happen to overreact about any accidents while trying to potty train you could make the whole process drag on longer then you would like.

When you go to the bathroom take your toddler with you, they like to do as you do. If your toddler sees what you do when you go to the potty they will be more at ease when they try. Use a teddy bear or a doll and pretend that they are using the potty, some toddlers will understand from this. Be sure that ever time that your toddler uses the potty and only of they do, reward them with praise, or stickers, whatever you have decided that the reward will be.

When you decide to potty train your toddler keep in mind that it needs to be done in a stress free enviroment. Also it needs to be done when your toddler is ready, not you. If your toddler does not potty train right away, they may not be ready. Give up on the idea for a few weeks then try again they may get it the second try. Remember that is important that you are never negative while you potty train your toddler, sooner or later they will learn how to do it.

If you want a quick, realiable method that will achieve results without tears, then take a look at The Toilet Training Tactics

You may recognize that childhood obesity is unhealthy and of course undesirable for
the life and well being of the child it is associated with. You may not realize just how
deep the problem runs. All of the problems that an adult can experience as a result
of being overweight becomes a potential risk to a child carrying around extra weight.

.
Not only that but if there is some hereditary conditions for which the child is predisposed
to, that increases the risk of that health condition even more. The chances
of a child gaining weight with parents who are overweight goes up exponentially.
Once the extra weight is on, the chances of developing undesirable and often scary
health conditions increases. This is particularly true when you look at the fact that
children will oftentimes have a more difficult time losing any extra weight by the time
they reach adulthood. The sooner they gain the extra weight, the less likely they are
to lose it, and the more likely they are to develop health conditions as a result of that
extra weight.

.

The mental implications of being overweight as a child are quite obvious and rather
painful. Children suffering from obesity not surprisingly have low self esteem. This
can be simply because they do not feel good about themselves and aren’t happy
with what they see when they look in the mirror, or it can deeper than that. Children
that are overweight often bear the burden of being ridiculed by other children and
this can truly impact how a child perceives themselves. Low self esteem may seem
like something that can quickly be reversed, but these feelings can run deep and
carry well into adulthood. Confident children usually grow into self assured and
successful adults. It’s easy to see how a low self esteem can develop in obese
children, and how it can create bigger problems later on. Though as parents we do
our best to reassure our children when they feel down and to make them feel
confident and loved, carrying around extra weight can often send a contradictory
message that speaks louder.
.

Low self esteem is only part of the problem, and only a mental aspect One of the
more common health conditions that we see develop in obese children is Type II
Diabetes. This condition is often hereditary so any predisposition to this will create
an even greater risk. This condition comes about in response to carrying around the
extra weight as it prevents the production of the proper amounts of insulin. In a
healthy individual, insulin is produced by the body to help cells absorb the glucose
we eat and turn that into energy. Type II Diabetes prohibits that and means that
insulin is not produced at the levels that it should be, therefore interrupting natural
functions. This means that children will have to take insulin in themselves, and the
chances of this condition reversing itself are very low. This is a condition that can
carry with that child throughout their whole life and puts them at danger of having
kidney damage and other problems that run much deeper.
.

The health risks don’t stop there though as obese children are at risk for a wide array
of conditions. They run the risk of developing high blood pressure and high
cholesterol in adulthood or in extreme cases, in adolescence or even in their
childhood years. This can be rather alarming as the statistics behind high blood
pressure and high cholesterol are often associated with much older patients, and
these often stay with the child throughout their life. Either of these can pave the way
for more serious health problems that include heart disease or even pulmonary
problems whereby the patient can’t breathe properly. Carrying around the extra
weight can make simple activity such as climbing a flight of stairs rather difficult and
leave a child feeling winded. Not only can this extra weight interfere with the
incorporation of regular physical activity into a healthy lifestyle, but it can also lead to
pulmonary problems. Simple activities such as breathing or sleeping can become
very difficult due to the extra strain put on the lungs and the entire body. The simple
act of sleeping can become difficult when there is so much strain put on the body
from all the extra weight being carried around.

Acupressure techniques
help you to induce labor naturally, and
have an easier and shorter labor!

Acupressure helps you avoid medical labor induction and brings on your labor naturally.

Acupressure points for inducing labor help the cervix dilate, speed up slow early labor, help your baby to descend, and stimulate labor contractions.

Furthermore, Maternity Acupressure relieves other issues that delay labor.

What is wonderful, is that this method does NOT over stimulate your body or distress your baby, because it just helps your body work better, in an optimal way!

Maternity Acupressure helps you to
induce labor naturally
without risking your baby’s health

Acupressure has been actively used by millions of people for almost four thousand years. This ancient technique has also been studied in depth by Western institutions for several decades.

It has been proven to be safe by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), among other reputed research institutions.

An increasing number of pregnant mothers and pregnancy care professionals use acupressure today. Had this technique caused any distress for the mother or the baby, labor acupressure would have disappeared long ago.

On the contrary, it has been shown that acupressure prevents the baby from becoming distressed, because it makes labor easier and shorter and helps to avoid medical interventions.

Maternity Acupressure is safe for mother and baby.

Yes, and it does work!

The Maternity Acupressure method is currently getting more and more popular among pregnant women, doulas, midwives and doctors right now. Not only can acupressure help you to start labor naturally, but it can also dramatically improve your birthing experience – simply and naturally.

Simply pressing specific points on your body can quickly help you to go into labor naturally.

Scientific evidence proves that natural labor induction with acupressure is and effective. Stimulation of specific acupressure points induces labor in upto 83% of women within 48 hours, sometimes in 25 minutes.

Acupressure triggers your labor by stimulating contractions, helping your cervix to dilate and getting your baby to descend.

Research shows that labor acupressure significantly shortens the delivery time. Women who use labor acupressure have a delivery time two hour shorter than on average.

Simple labor acupressure techniques give effective labor pain relief, without any risk of stopping your contractions.
