Hormones, hormones, hormones and a grown up attitude and a desire to be their own person.  This sounds like a day in hell, but for some parents, it’s a great time when you child spreads their wings and you know that you have done your best and they can go it alone.

For fathers of girls, this is the worse time, worrying about them having other men in their lives and for mom’s it a time to watch your little girl become a woman.  For boys, the worries are different.  Will he be a man that woman will want to be around, will he have confidence and be happy.  Will he succeed in life?

If you set the foundations, then there is nothing to fear, but the few years after puberty when the wall feel like they are crashing in.  Good Luck!
